Can I Install a Warmup System Under Carpet Tiles?
Heating Mats – DWM
When heating under carpet tiles, Warmup recommends the DCM-PRO or StickyMat system embedded in latex based modified polymer self-leveling compound prior to the installation of the carpet tiles.
It is important that you select “carpet” as your flooring type on any 4iE thermostat connected to a system under carpet. This ensures the system does not heat above 81 degrees, the maximum programming temperature that Warmup recommends under carpet.
Here is a video that will show you how to do so:
Always check with your flooring manufacturer first to make sure you are in compliance with their recommendations. Some carpet tile backings do not conduct or allow the heat to transfer well. Therefore it is important you discuss with the manufacturer prior to purchase/installation.
